Purple Nugs Smoke M.O.B., Cash in Money Makers to Push Record to 6-0
The Nugs are well on their way to a perfect season after completing another doubleheader sweep. After dominating both sides of the ball against M.O.B. en route to a 40-12 blowout, they almost doubled up on the Money Makers 52-27. QB Jason Runkle was 13 of 21 passing for 255 yards and 4 touchdowns against M.O.B. Runkle found wide receiver Mike Stange in the corner of the end zone for a couple of TDs and Jason "(I want my) Baby" Bash recorded 3 receptions for 70 yards and one touchdown. The Nugs also scored two defensive TDs as both Bash and T.J. Hernandez returned M.O.B. passes for scores. M.O.B.'s Christian Prosser kept his team on their feet with five receptions for 78 yards and one TD. Prosser must have been reliving his linebacker days at USC with a big sack in the game on Runkle. M.O.B.'s #30's biz was all about defense, grabbing a couple INTs to keep the team in the ranks. Against Money Makers, Runkle was 21 of 28 for an astonishing 387 yards and league high 6 touchdowns. Stange had six receptions for 100 yards and 2 TDs while Bash had 4 receptions for 95 yards, two TDs along with one interception run back for a touchdown. Money Maker QB Tyler Selvey put up some yards going 22 of 38 passing for 290 yards and 4 touchdowns, 3 of which were completed to Marquise Deadwiler. WR Richy Hall broke the century mark again for the Money Makers with his seven receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Sharks Whack M.O.B., Attack Flaggots 41-26 to Take Over Second Place
The Sharks took sole possession of second place and improved their record to 5-1 with a pair of convincing wins. First, they paraded past the Flaggots 41-26 and then made M.O.B. "sleep with the fishes" 40-14. QB Peter Malloy was unstoppable in the air against the Flaggots, completing 17 of 26 passes for 309 yards and 6 touchdowns. Two of Malloy's receivers, team captain Ian Gannon and brother Danny Malloy, both had over 100 yards receiving. Gannon had 7 catches for 150 yards and 2 TDs while Danny Malloy had 6 receptions for 123 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Flaggots also had a solid performance from their QB as Karl Bascos completed 22 of 32 passes for 277 yards and 4 touchdowns. Once again, Nikko Gaddi had over 100 yards receiving with 7 receptions for 115 yards. The Flaggots' high scorer was Thai Dao, who hauled in 6 catches for 66 yards and 2 touchdowns. Malloy was more efficient against M.O.B., completing 5 more touchdown passes on just 195 yards of total offense. His weapon of choice in this game was again his brother, Danny, who grabbed six balls for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns. Danny Malloy also scored on one of his 3 interceptions. M.O.B. WR Harold Jones III gave his team hope with 6 catches for 95 yards and the only two M.O.B. scores.

Flaggots March Past SD Wolf Pack 41-21
The Flaggots weren't afraid of a little rain and mud as they pranced over the SD Wolf Pack. Flaggots QB Karl Bascos completed 20 of 26 passes for 197 yards and 5 TDs and wideout Nikko "Suave" Gaddi found the end zone on three of his nine receptions totaling 109 yards. Gaddi also had 2 interceptions on defense and Flaggots Thai Dao and Bui Kimtan also picked off Wolf Pack passes. Kimtan returned his for a score to blow the game wide open. The SD Wolf Pack were fortunate to have the return of QB Jared Smith taking the snaps, however, one of Smith's top weapons, Michael Burbank, was out. Smith was 24 of 39 for 240 yards and 3 TDs. The Pack's WR Larry Moore used his height to his advantage pulling in eight receptions for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Xecutioners Terminate Superbad 47-36
With Xecutioners WR Michael Medina out, serving a one-game suspension, the X squad was still able to pull off a close, yet impressive win over the winless Superbad. James Blunk took the snaps for the Xecutioners and completed 18 of 26 passes for 299 yards and an impressive 7 TDs. Blunk hooked up with Robert Bloodshaw 6 times for 130 yards and 4 touchdowns. Superbad has been struggling all season but still managed to put up some good numbers in this game. QB Mike "That 70s Show" Pagnotta was 15 of 22 for 296 yards and 5 touchdowns, while team captain and stud man Dustin Crellin had seven catches for 141 yards and 2 TDs. T.J.
