Purple Nugs Inhale Sharks 46-26, Blaze Up Those Guys 36-6
The Nugs are on their way to a perfect season after finishing off the Sharks and improving their record to 8-0. Nugs QB Jason Runkle was 19 of 32 passing for 369 yards and an impressive seven touchdowns thrown. WR Mike Stange led the team with five receptions for 130 yards and 2 TDs along with a couple of interceptions on defense. WR Travis Lerma had 6 catches for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns and also contributed on defense with a late second half interception to stop a Shark scoring drive. While the Sharks came up a bit short on points, the Malloy brothers once again impressed with QB Peter Malloy going 19 of 33 for 330 yards and 4 touchdowns and Danny Malloy catching 7 passes for 103 yards and 3 TDs. Team captain Ian Gannon also had a nice game with 5 receptions for 133 yards and a TD. The Purple Nugs then finished strong and pushed their record to 9-0 with an easy win over Those Guys. Runkle was 18 of 26 passing for 214 yards and spread his 5 touchdown passes around to 4 different receivers. The team's high scorer was Lerma with 14 points on four receptions for 46 yards and 2 TDs.

Flaggots Salad Toss Superbad in O.T. 40-34
It looked like a super good chance for Superbad to get their first win of the season, but their overtime bid fell one yard short and the win was awarded to their Flaggot opponents. Superbad QB and team captain Dustin Crellin went 15 of 23 for 264 yards with 4 touchdowns. WR Joe Branch scored all 4 TDs for the Superbad squad on 7 receptions for 198 yards. The Flaggots introduced Joseph Mai at QB and the Velocity frontman went 16 of 37 passing for 239 yards and 5 touchdowns. Mai's primary weapon was WR Nikko "Suave" Gaddi, who pulled down 9 catches for 189 yards and 4 TDs. Gaddi, who scored 30 of the Flaggots' 40 points on the day, also had two INTs and ran one back for a touchdown.

LG Money Makers Cash In On Wolf Pack 37-13
The Money Makers tamed the Wolfpack, cruising to an easy win even without starting QB, Tyler Selvey. Money Maker standout wide receiver Richy Hall took the snaps from center and went 15 of 24 for 238 yards and 6 touchdowns. Hall's method of attack was to get the ball in the hands of Marquise Deadwiler. Deadwiler had 10 receptions for 195 yards, 3 TDs and pulled down 3 INTs on defense.

Xecutioners Neuter SD Wolf Pack 49-26
The Xecutioners handed the Wolf Pack their second loss of the day as veteran Doug Pipitone returned to QB for his Xecutioners. Pipitone was 16 of 26 for 239 yards and spread his 5 touchdown passes around to five different receivers. WR Rob Lemming had the most yardage with 80 on 3 catches with one TD while Michael Medina led his team in scoring with 16 on 5 receptions for 38 yards, one TD. Medina turned in a stellar performance on defense with 3 picks, one returned for a touchdown. The SD Wolf Pack's father-son tandem of Guilermo Ochoa Jr. & Sr. shared the snaps for a combined 17 of 36 passing attempts for 267 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Pack's Michael Burbank scored all 4 touchdowns for his squad along on his 7 receptions for 109 yards. WR Michael Bishop led his team in yardage, totaling 128 on his 7 catches.

Sharks Swallow Xecutioners 41-24
It was the brothers Malloy once again doing the majority of the damage for the Sharks as they devoured the Men of X 41-24. QB Peter Malloy was 13 of 22 passing for 234 yards and threw 4 touchdowns, while on the receiving end, younger brother Danny capitalized on his 5 receptions for 100 yards and 2 TDs. Danny Malloy also pulled down 2 INTs on defense, returning one for a TD and one on a two-point conversion for another score. Xecutioners QB Doug Pipitone was 16 of 27 passing for 263 yards and 4 touchdowns, 2 to WR Robert Bloodsaw, who totaled 78 yards on his 4 catches.

M.O.B. Yacks Those Guys 24-18
Those Guys continue to impress. Not so much in the air but more so on the field…the grass and dirt to be more specific. Those Guys WR and team entertainer Iosef Oberwager managed to pull off the greatest vomit triumph in Those Guys football history. For the second consecutive week, "field fertilizer" Oberwager was found kneeled over, spitting up and dry heaving what smelled to be something resembling that of overcooked Spaghetti O's near the bench where his parents and girlfriend were found and who conveniently witnessed this great event. It was quite a show and free for those who attended. Oberwager did lead his team in yardage on eight receptions for 81 yards and an interception return on a M.O.B. extra-point attempt late in the game. Christian Prosser of M.O.B. lead his team with three receptions for 80 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown.
